Research Interests

I love to explore new trends in design and challenging ways of thinking. I have a great passion for combining materials, shapes and colors beyond what the mainstream dictates.

“Architecture is the frozen music; music is the flowing architecture” – Goethe

Social innovation

We should strive to become better without losing track of what it means to be human, without losing our humanity.

“The real danger is not that computers will begin to think like men, but that men will begin to think like computers” (Harris, 2013).

Design thinking

We are encouraging change, because with our view of reality we find new needs that require change from what we have in the “now” and “here”. We are citizens of that “now”here due to our perception of spatio-temporal realities.

“We are called to be architects of the future,

not its victims” Buckmins quoted in (Lefkowits & Miller, 2005).

Design Fiction

What is next?

“The future is already here – it’s just not evenly distributed” William Gibson, quoted in

(The Economist, 2003).

Interaction design

New ways of interaction between human/machine, human/ human.

“You can’t say A is made of B or vice versa. All mass is interaction” Richard Feynman (1918-1988), quoted in (Gleick, 1992, p. 5).

Internet of objects

Invisible synchrony between human/machine, human/human towards a hybrid nature.

Multisensory Internet based devices (wearable and portable)

The future of the computer is going to be everywhere, but nowhere” Michio Kaku as quoted in (Garisto, 2012).

Cross-cultural studies and interconnectivity

Focusing on cultural and social differencies.
